Tanto las operaciones realizadas por L. Ron Hubbard para robar información de agencias gubernamentales (Intriga, 2011) y obtener dinero para su religión, la cienciología (ACI Prensa, s.f.) a través de personas infiltradas en distintas instituciones como la CIA y el FBI, como el proyecto de espionaje con globos gigante por parte del gobierno de los Estados Unidos de América hacia la URSS durante la guerra fría, que estaban encargados de captar a través de los sonidos de las explosiones, las pruebas de los distintos ensayos nucleares hechos por la Unión Soviética (Merchán, 2015; Martinez, 2013), resultaron ser dos teorías conspirativas que en realidad fueron operaciones reales, esto se supo tiempo después por la desclasificación de algunos documentos del gobierno de los Estados Unidos. Cabe destacar que el proyecto Mogul se hizo conocido a nivel mundial a través del caso Roswell, hecho que ocurrió en 1947, uno de los globos que cayó fue encontrado por el ranchero William W. "Mack" Brazel a unos 50 [km] de Roswell, Nuevo México, al encontrar junto con su familia los escombros del globo y los pedazos de papel aluminio lo relacionó a unos relatos sobre "platillos volantes" que había escuchado y la cultura popular lo atribuyó a la caída de una nave de origen extraterrestre.

 

Both the operations carried out by L. Ron Hubbard to stole information from government agencies (Intriga, 2011) and obtain money for his religion, the scientology (ACI Prensa, n.d.), through people infiltrated in different institutions such as the CIA and the FBI, such as the giant balloon project by the government of the United States of America to the USSR during the Cold War, that were responsible for capturing through the sounds of the explosions, the tests of the various nuclear tests made by the Soviet Union (Merchán, 2015; Martinez, 2013), turned out to be two conspiracy theories that in fact they were real operations, this was learned time later by the declassification of some documents of the goverment of the United States. It should be noted that the Mogul project became known worldwide through the Roswell case, a fact that occurred in 1947, one of the balloons that fell was found by rancher William W. "Mack" Brazel about 50 [km] from Roswell , New Mexico, when he found together with his family the debris of the globe and the pieces of aluminum foil he related to some stories about "flying saucers" he had heard and popular culture attributed it to the fall of a ship of extraterrestrial origin.
